I've had a few experiences of note. Once, trying to get me home for hometime, they found me a dry van load (I normally pull reefers) which I took. Somehow, that got me switched to dry vans. After a couple dry van loads after my hometime, I called my DL and she found the screw up and fixed it. No muss no fuss. I just had to ask.
For reasons, I switched terminals. All I had to do was ask and it was easily and simply accomplished. However, the terminal switch didn't work out for me very well. So, after a couple of weeks, I asked if I could switch back to my original terminal. Once again, no muss, no fuss. It a was done simply and easily.
Originally, I was doing all 48 states(well, never actually did anything around New England). But, found I didn't like going to the Southeast (Long story, personal reasons) and my DL switched me to being a West coast region driver so I could avoid the Southeast. No muss no fuss. My DL was easily and gladly able to accomplish all these things.
So, I recommend simply talking to your driver leader about what you want. They have always easily and simply accomplished those kinds of things for me. All I had to do is talk with my DL and ask.drh72, Moosetek13 and dptrucker Thank this. -
What is your location? Do you live near I-95?
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.
Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, all year round. -
What is it that you dislike about I-95?
I-95 is a 1,908 mile, (3,071 kilometers), stretch of highway, beginning from the Houlton-Woodstock border crossing, (Houlton Maine / Woodstock New Brunswick Canada), and ending southbound at US-1 in Miami Florida.
I-95 largely parallels the Atlantic Coast.
