    Greetings all.

I am a brand spanking new student driver. I just graduated from TDI in Florida on 4/29/11. I will be heading out to Texas in a couple of weeks to start my first job in the trucking industry.

    My background is as such:

Originally started out as a cook in the culinary field. Worked for 5 years in the industry.
Changed focus to computers and technology with a focus on customer service. Worked in that field for 17 years off and on.
Got tired of Temp agencies screwing around with me and decided to pursue my CDL/Class A license.

I was directed to this forum by a friend of mine who is also in the trucking business. I look forward to finding out the different sides of the industry as well as the tips and tricks to make it a fun and profitable venue for myself and my family.

With that said. I want to thank everyone ahead of time for their work and effort in making this site informative and educational for people like me who are just getting into the business.

    Let the fun begin.
