You really wanna get those nerves going?

Try i80 across Wyoming with 10k in the box.

You just need practice, that's all.

You may not want to hear this ....but if you are that nervous, then you may give the choice a 2nd look. I'm just saying this because lots more folks than yourself will be affected if while in training you make a really bad mistake and either hurt someone or even worse cause a death.....I say this with respect...you MUST take this into consideration..just put yourself into those other folks place that use the same roads that you are using. Every poster on this site has family that uses the roads everyday. As a professional driver safety is by far your 1st and foremost concern. If you're that nervous while training then you are dangerous...just my opinion though. There is a huge line between being a little nervous at first, and being too scared to perform at the skill necessary to be safe, that be something you should have already been able to gain control of. Talk to your instructors about it...but if you are that scared...don't put yourself in a truck, where you can kill a innocent in the blink of an eye......

That is very irresponsible right there...not only is the OP in control of his own life, but those of every person he comes into contact with. Paying attention is important, but you can't if your too scared. He stands a better chance of being involved in an accident that could kill someone...no need to down-play how important safety is in this profession. It is the most important thing.

Yeah @Tonythetruckerdude, I am not that nervouse, just a little. My instructors would not have moved me to that point if I was that bad. I'm actually being alittle hard on myself. I'm doing what I'm suppose to do and I have not made mistakes that involve other people. I'm just a little nervous which will probably go away just like it did when I first learned upshifting and backing. I'm not swerving or making fast turns or running lights or anything like that. THanks for the advice tho. And I paid 4400.00 out of pocket. No way I am quitting.

Glad to hear that ...just remember you can't ever be "too safe". And keep on being your worst critic...that way you will always be thinking about doing the most safe thing. Hope your career is long and safe.
