I wonder if the now deceased lowlife feels better because it was a sword instead of a faceful of 00 Buckshot.

Why did this get moved? I posted it in politics for a reason.

What was the reason? There certainly isn't anything politics related in the article.

Give that boy a medal.

The only problem I have is in that last sentence regarding prosecutors may press charges. For what? Defending yourself against a stranger in your domicile in the middle of the night with a weapon other than a gun? I feel that last sentence was uneeded to report the story of an univited person being killed by the person who lives there.

If they're in Maryland, I'd imagine the place isn't all that friendly toward self defense.
"Guy killed me, Mal. He killed me with a sword!"kajidono Thanks this. -
"Police are interviewing the student and his roommates, and are talking to prosecutors about whether to file charges."
It would have been better if the weapon used was a firearm. Modern day legal professionals and our society in general view edged weapons as primitive and barbaric. I don't agree with it, but that's the way it is...
It's much easier to justify shooting someone 2 or 3 times vs. stabbing or slicing them 2 or 3 times...

They are probably trying to determine if the student knew the attacker. Just because you are accosted, does not always mean bodily harm.
What if it was a bill collector, or just a confused alzheimer patient? -
Heck I have 3 of them, so I'm well protected LOL...
