Are you for real or just having fun with us?Those tickets are pretty severe and I see nothing funny about them.Ther'ye not BS either. If Werner of all companies denied you then be prepared for a long road ahead before any other companies hire you.
Student needs some help.

Lane violations are serious stuff in this business.
plus your age
plus its the dead of winter
etc.........G.Anthony, BrenYoda883, rexmanno and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm certainly no expert regarding the trucking industry, but I think anyone with a bit of common sense would realize that something in the realm of "falling asleep" at the wheel which resulted in an accident regardless of severity would result in more then a few denied applications. It's unfortunate for the OP, and I hope you get it worked out, but I see that being a hard pill to swallow for a lot of carriers.
BrenYoda883, pattyj, NavigatorWife and 1 other person Thank this. -
Why you're being turned down for jobs: One reason: your solidly in the group of drivers whom is involved in the highest number of crashes: young & distracted drivers.
(Curious, was a cell phone involved/ also, did the Officer check to see if cell phone was involved...i recall you did write, fell asleep at the wheel.)BrenYoda883 Thanks this. -
No offence to the OP but we would really be in a heap of trouble if carriers and there insurance companies were forgiving and hired ppl with tickets like what he received.
-
dont use the phrase fell asleep, maybe swerved to miss a child.
Not great or EXCELLENT advice to lie the TRUTH will eventually come out and then you will be questioned about everything you ever told the company , as for the possible need for a sleep test you may have a medical problem and do not need to be dozing off behind the wheel of a tractor trailer.
G.Anthony, BrenYoda883 and pattyj Thank this. -
Your age, that ticket and falling asleep on the wheel will not help you right now.
By the time you're 23, the ticket will be old and as long as you maintain a clean record, that's when I think you'll be fine. -
Hey guys i did have sleep study done and doctor said it was just lack of sleep which it was. I was working to jobs and could't adjust my sleep pattern based on there hours it was all on me, But yeah i can see where it draws a red flag.
BrenYoda883, Chinatown, FLATBED and 1 other person Thank this. -
I hear that, why lie, stretch the truth or whatever you wanna call it,in time the company will find out. Many get fired for reasons like this.
FLATBED Thanks this. -
I never had a ticket before and I did't care i was more worried about getting my car fixed. I admit it was stupid and if i fought it i would of had the ticket dropped. you can't switch lanes if theres no lanes to switch? But i have to deal with it now. Same thing falling asleep i was on my way home from work a 3 am and just feel asleep just could not get my sleep pattern right working 2 jobs. It's amazing how one night could cause you alot of trouble down the road!
