I'm starting school on the 18th of Feb. I see that TMC is hiring inexperienced out of school. I have been leaning flatbed because it just seems to fit and I'm not sure I would have enough experience to get hired for tankers.
TMC SEEMS to have some support (lol) from drivers. So my question is, I know they are in Des Moines, But does anyone know if they hire out of Nevada. I currently live in Reno, Nv. But I'm open to moving and will probably (99% sure)
I'll be moving to Tx. within the year. Seems to be ALOT more work there. But for now I'm in Reno.
Thank you in advance!

Melton Truck Lines has a terminal in Dallas and hires students even though the ad says 3 mos. experience required. Flatbed with APU's.
Roehl, I think, has a new flatbed terminal in TX.
Schneider will hire & train you for tanker work in TX.
Also take a look at System Transport flatbed.All-American82 Thanks this. -
Roehls website says we're hiring out of Reno for national flatbed and western regional flatbed. We also just opened a new terminal in Grand Prairie, TX

Thanks I will look into all these companies. Is it better to start putting in app's BEFORE you start school or will they NOT even talk to you until you've got your CDL ? or try to talk you into going to THEIR school? I'm going to a private school not a company school, so I'm flexible as far as that goes.
Thanks guys!

Ask your instructor when to apply. Don't need to apply until you are actually attending classes and have a graduation date. All the companies listed above hire students and are good companies.

Do you know if Roehls has a terminal here in Reno or "close "by?
