I've been following your threads for quite sometime now, specially when I originally was gonna be going to Watkins. I don't understand what your problem is with Prime.you say our trucks Suks, seriously? You need to open your eyes. I've seen the junk buckets you started out with in AS. I started out in a 2012 Cascadia. Sure, you only had 10 days of orientation, then off on your own, Trucking is a serious and dangerous business, as you know flatbed is even more dangerous, mostly because of securement. I did TNT witzh Prime, and I ran 32k in 5 weeks.
And made twice the training pay you made at watkins. And after TNT I started out at a higher pay then you ever made at Watkins. There is absolutely no other company out there that even comes close to our starting pay. AT you seriously need yo grow up and mind your own #### business. I know what the problem is, your just a kid that thinks he's some sort of super trucker that is post because Prime drivers make almost what you make now even with your 2 years experience.

Questions about the training Millis Transfer provides through one of their schools...
Is lodging and food included in their price or is that another out of pocket expense for the 3 weeks you are at the school before you start training with the company? Also the school training is only Monday thru Friday according to the web site so either you will have to pay for hotel over the weekend as well or commute back and forth to home over the weekend. Just some other factors to think about. Good luck in making your decision.

ya ok, I gross $46,000 first 365 days with Watkins, when you get a year post your numbers then we'll see.

I just left LST at .40cpm, i grossed almost $16,000 in my first 90 days.....did you...do you make that in 90 days?

The company im going to work for now pays $50,000+ a year, home every day, weekends and holidays off, and running down I-85 a few hours swap trailers then come home....real hard work.

and ive been driving 4 years only 1.5 OTR though...

I am actually going to look into the WIA thing tomorrow, but trying to look ahead if that falls through. Just not sure how that works. Also, I'm an Air Force vet with 70% coverage on my post 9/11 GI Bill. It's that pesky remaining 30% that's the issue.

That WIA takes about a month to get approved, at least in my area. I didn't go with that option. My research puts Prime at the top of the list for training companies. They stand out due to having the highest pay, and shortest commitment time. Do you get the shiny new truck to drive? No. But then again I've found that in trucking, you can drive the new equipment and make peanuts, or drive safe equipment and be able eat.

I am glad that I have drove Dump trucks, Cement Trucks, and Class A other Trucks, because, When I went to go OTR, I just took a Road test with the owner and he put me into a truck the same day. I also am not one to be sharing space with someone else! Been with that co. now for nearly 4 years. So far no accidents, knock on wood!
