The difference between the fuel we carry and the fuel we haul is that it's assumed we carry diesel fuel to operate. You can't see inside the tankers, therefore (due to the fact that fuel is hazardous) it has to be placarded so the tanker isn't assumed empty or non hazardous.
If you get into an accident, wouldn't you like the fire department and emergency response personell to know you've got thousands of gallons of something flammable on board?TeePee Creeper Thanks this. -
Placards are designed to draw the general publics attention away from the twinkie eating, big stogie smookin, cell talking, infidel, that is trying to text and navagate down the highway. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtan....OZ to dorothy..come on back Toto.
