We have put magnetic keyholders on all our vehicles. Saves all the headaches.

On our 06 it will not lock from the inside you have to lock it from the outside with the key. On my 2000 the cylinders screwed up so i push the lock down pull the handle and shut the door and it locks.

I love my KW. It's idiot proof. I can't lock the keys in. Unless I really, really want to. Which I did once. When we got the KWs the boss said you couldn't possibly lock the keys in the truck because it won't let you. I said "oh yeah?". I then locked the doors from the outside ( the only way you can) and opened up the sidebox, and threw the keys inside and shut it. I shrugged and said to never underestimate me. Lol. He made me go see the big boss for the spare, ha ha ha

Most blue jeans have a tiny "watch pocket" on the right hand side above the regular pocket,,,, I keep my spare key tucked away in there along with a small knife.

I have considered installing a proximity sensor attached to a pain generator just to keep you thieving truck drivers out of my truck :biggrin_25510::biggrin_2559:

    Should be standard equipment.

Good idea. I keep a spare under the hood on a zip tie.
