Jesus. Farmers are not doing the same thing, pulling the same type of plow, at the same speeds or in the same gear from one pass to the other, a gps does exactly nothing for them, hell it doesn't do anything in a truck that we always did without one. Some people are just addicted to the latest technology, devices and buttons.

I do not discredit it, just have never had the need for some of it, some of it would benefit me in my operation not the first bit, so no need to spend bucks on it, unless mandated by law.

In some things yes. Not necessarily in trucking. GPS becoming accessible to the common man has led to an entire generation of drivers that literally can not read a map and plan a route.

Well if a gps could possibly help you where I run, I do not know what to tell you. Even when I ran otr through all states I never felt the need for one, but now it would just be something else to clutter up the truck.
If you or anybody else needs one go for it, I just have zero use for one in the truck.
Now all that said I do own one, it is sitting right here on the file cabinet, where it has been for 3 years or so. lol

lol Google maps is literally a map. It can also be used to plan routes. Yeah grandpa Google maps is just like your laminated coffee coaster, I mean atlas. It even gives you LIVE traffic updates but why would a trucker need that. ahaha.

The farmer owns the land my guy. They would save money and time by making their farm robotic.

Did you just call me grandpa?
I use Google maps plenty. But i also use to use a real map and plan my route turn by turn in case one of the million things that could prevent me from accessing Google maps happens. My atlas never tried to send me on the parkway with 12 foot underpasses. Google maps tries to do that every time im in the northeast.

How about another tech that has had a major negative impact on society. Face book and other social media. Now we got an entire generation that think its perfectly acceptable to speak to others with all the social grace and civility of a douchebag. An entire generation in need of an ### kicking by grandpa's.
