No air brakes, hahahaha. Ever been to canada through the NY border? Canadian customs at the Queenston/Lewiston bridge and American customs at the Peace bridge both had the same signs, "Do not relase air brakes". I was thinking, so how am i supposed to leave? Anyway, it only took me a second to figure out that they meant "do not set air brakes", as in, they want you to stand on the foot pedal the whole time. Still dont really understand why. Maybe they already have huge headaches from dealing with their BS jobs. I did set the brakes at the tollbooth at the queenston bridge though..hahaha.

By the way, those signs are usually for "except for local deliveries", even if they dont say it.

I went to a truckstop in texas once...i THINK it was the flying J that i will never go to again, in Baytown. Big sign right in front of the truck stops, with a weight limit that completely excludes semis. But you have to go on it to get to the truckstop from i-10...?

Theres some funny weight limit signs in michigan. For those who dont know, michigan's gross weight limit is 160,000, but only 16k per axle, and steer tire weight is measured in PSI, therefore impossible for a driver to figure out?....only place ive ever seen "Weight limit 175,000 lb"

These places are all over the place. One in Orangeburg, NY has a 10ton limit and it is the major route into an industrial park. All the local trucking business use this road and the sign says nothing about local delivery. The alternate route is a windy back road that passes a park and requires the use of both lanes to navigate.

Called the city to ask about it and no one knows why there is a weight restriction.

Maybe they dont want it being used as a shortcut to get to somewhere else? They really cant do anything if your bills show youre delivering to somewehre requiring that route....
