    Viking caulks!
    Are you a logger?
I was going to get some regular sole Vikings for woodcutting.

Warmer than -15, hoodie and jeans, insulated gloves and boots. Colder than that, put the Carhardtt on. You get used to the cold rather quickly. The first time, it's so cold that your face gets paralyzed. Within a few days of constant cold, you will be fine.

@nate980, show them your winter gear.

Not a bad idea in an ice storm. I keep a pair of Yak Traks in the cab. They slip on anything from boots to tennis shoes and supply traction. Great for getting up on an ice covered deck.

I started sweating just reading that. Of course I haven't really dealt with temperatures that low very often.

I tend to break those things like they're made of cardboard.

I am one yes. Taking a break from it trucking. The caulks are the cats meow for anything slippery, but step on a rock or steel and pay attention to how you walk lol.

A truck stop in Idaho had a telescopic plastic snow shovel. gotta hunch I'll break it. would rather get a aluminum shovel. 2 sizes. not sure where it'll go yet. I carry the military shovel all the time, OK.. I had a bout with the cold gotta make some changes.

The plastic snow shovel I have is up to par with the backcountry shovels I used to use. If you have to chop through ice it won't do the job. That's why a snow saw is on my list of things to get. Cut blocks and the shovel makes short work of them. The bigger aluminum shovels are hard to stow
