to me a successful operator would be someone who bought a truck and was able to work that truck without going bankrupt and at least to make enough money to live comfyI'm not asking for only the guy who created a fortune 500 company I'm asking for the regular Joe shmo owner operators who is happy making a living on the road

1995 Freightliner FLD120, 12.7 60 series, 13 speed, 370 rears.
650k when I bought it, 2.25 million when I sold it.
got somewhere between 6 and 6.5 most of the time.
$14k cash
leased on to Schneider, JB, CRST Malone, B&W Interstate, Dart & SAV Transport.
Made a butt load of money with CRST Malone, had a good dedicated run with B&W and did pretty good with Dart. Thumbs down with Schneider, JB and SAV.
Buying another truck now and I'm lookin for that mule that kicked me in the head and made me think this was a good idea. -
