Ran some Indian tires once on steers; they lasted about 30k miles before they started splitting on the sidewall, or until someone tried stabbing it three times. Now I run yokes, they work fine.

Man, things change. Apparently I've learned a thing or two in a few years. I run a Volvo 780 with a big bull bar and an APU, a real heavy combo. Those Firestones I thought I got a deal on went to #### in about a month, seriously, they went from great to gone. I went back to Michelins and they look great at 100k. I just had bad luck hitting stuff with my first ones.

For a heavy tractor, spend the money on Michelins.

Whereabouts? This place has treated me well but if that’s the case I may have gotten hosed.

I think Michelins are closer to $600 now, and they are hard to find. I was advised by my tire guy just today to call him a couple months before I need them.

Hmmm. I have been finding them everywhere. Speedco in Fargo, loves valley city, meekoff in Michigan…list goes on. Also their Michelin advantage program pricing is outstanding.

What’s the requirements for a Michelin program? And what are you seeing for pricing? I’m still pretty new to the game so only have a few shops I deal with locally. IA/IL/MN/WI.

That's good to hear. I honestly haven't looked, I've just heard here and talking to friends that they are hard to get. I asked my tire guy today and he said they were hard for him to get. I guess it just depends on when and where you are.

If you get in a bind, pm me. I know a guy who has lots of them in inventory and is located in a place where he won’t go dry.
