ST244 come in 16ply, I run those now. My left front eats tires, 4 shops, too many alignments to count, nobody can tell me why. I just rotate them every 5 or 6 months and pop a new one on.

BF Goodrich is owned by Michelin , I'd try them same technology at a cheaper price.

So you want the lower cost with lower tech in a steer? No thanks. There are only two, and they are the most important tire on the truck.

Nothing wrong with BF. There's nothing "low tech" about them. I'm a Michelin cheerleader for sure, but BF makes a solid tire. I run ST244 steers, and they wear like iron.

I run Michelin on my drives and trailer but Continental on my steers. My tire rep turned me on to the Continental about 3 sets ago and they wear much better than Michelin did on my rig. They are roughly the same fleet discounted price as the Michelin.

If you purchase some Michelins that are built in Alabama or Georgia they are made by BFG. Dot numbers will tell. Greenville and a couple plants in Canada are 100% Michelin that make BFG.

I’ve supposedly got 2 11r24.5’s Bri Ecopia’s getting delivered to my door later this afternoon. Payed for them 4 months ago and have been on backorder. Michelins are still on 8 month backorder because they are only going to supply the new truck manufacturers and big fleets right now. They are not worried about resupply of the replacement market at the moment.

I get a great deal on Michelin to include bf Goodrich. Would you suggest bfg on trailer tires?
