Bought my first set of Firestone 590’s, back when the 591 first came out. Before that the 591 was a Bridgestone. When Bridgestone develops a new steer, Firestone will get the current Bridgestone steer, a 592 maybe? Hard to beat the quality and value. Tried and true. That’s all I’ve ever bought since. Current steers have about 80k, still looking good, at least 70% or more tread left. Hard to believe. I used to buy steers, (Bridgestone only) every year or 100k, 120k at the most. The newer tires wear longer. Usually get out of whack and won’t balance out, no matter what you do, before wearing out. I’ve been running them 120k plus, and putting them on the drives another 120-140k.

Siinman, God prefers Diesels and Derailed Thank this. -
Can someone please explain how to order tire from Michelin portal?
What I have to select? I’ve called tech support they said it should be a product select list which will show also the price.
But I don’t see it
Please help -
I couldn’t find the price on the portal either and spent a good bit of time looking. Probably the worst internet website system on the planet.
Kairen0001 Thanks this. -
You can't order from the portal. You find a local Michelin dealer, call them for tires availability, then give them your Michelin account number to see if they can charge it, some dealers can not.
Get your tires installed and get charged the price you see on your Michelin account, not the retail shop priceKairen0001 and Short Fuse EOD Thank this. -
Thanks a lot!
Just an update: I found the way to check prices on a web site. And there is an option to send it to your local dealer, but all this is soooo complicated (did not try it all the way)
So I’ll probably just call my local dealer! Thanks again -
Can you share the websites link?

https://www.myportal.michelingroup.com
Log in (if you not registered yet go ahead and register)
Select “quick links”->Michelin B2B->select your account from the form (if there is nothing there, call to support, that’s what my issue was)->it will bring you to new window, where you can select “advantage program->order tires or price check. It’s a little complicated over there but 5-10 min of using and you’ll get it.
Be patient, that web site is suuuuuper stupid and slow….

Okay, finally tried it today and bought 2 steers (Michelin)
So I found a dealer and went there, asked to get a quote. It was $1690 mounted where roughly $100 are labor and steams.
after it I told that I do have an advantage account. They said they don’t know what price will be in the end, but it will be a discount. I decided to get new tires anyway so they put it and when I started to sign paperwork I saw their computer where amount was ~$1250 for everything. I asked “is this my price?” but they said: “no, that’s what we send to Michelin to get paid”.
Include labor!
I was excited for a minute, but after I checked my credit card’s app my excitement gone: $1542.
Which means that overall discount is like $150. On the one hand: today even $50 matters. On the other hand: I don’t think it worth it to mess around, to get $75 off of one tire. You can get it without any account in small mom and pop shop….
Sorry for the long writing, hope it will help someone. Peace ✌️Last edited: Nov 9, 2022
Rideandrepair and DUNE-T Thank this. -
Yes I have BF Goodrich Highway control. I think they're great.
If you join o o i d a they give you a pretty good discount on them.
Some will tell you that it's difficult to get it through them or whatever it's not. You just have to call o o i d a and they will explain what you need to do.Rideandrepair Thanks this.
