We live in a subdivision with very strict rules ... which means I can't park a truck here when I am on home-time. I don't have any relatives that live near by either.

So where in the world will I leave my truck when I come home from the road?

Park at a truckstop. Lock the truck and trailer, pull all the curtains to cover the windows. Enter the truckstop from the back, with your bags, as if you're going to shower. Leave through the front entrance of the truckstop to go home. If you do it this way, you won't attract attention. If you pull your car around to the truck parking area, everyone notices and knows you will be gone a long time and a crook will take advantage of this.

Local truck stop? Any commercial property nearby? Could pay someone for parking if they have room on a commercial lot, I park a few blocks away from my house on a commercial lot for $40 a month and in cold winter $60 per month which includes plug in power. Works great for me as I can walk to my truck when I leave.

Grocery stores sometimes allow you to park there.

We have a lumber mill nearby and, since they shut down the log yard part of the operation, they have some open space and I got permission to park there. Of course, my neighborhood doesn't have any CCRs, so I park my tractor in my driveway. You might be able to find something similar.

Park at the TS like Chinatown said. Just take your valuables out and hit your battery kill switch.

Another option is RV storage lots. I was able to find one a few miles from house, they only charged me $35 a week since I didnt need covered parking.

Park mine at the Walmart by the house. Like I would in any other town with no truck stops near by.

    Here's a tip out of Truckduo's book.

Locate somewhere close like a mechanics shop, lumber yard etc. Anywhere you can park it out of the way.

Locate donut shop. Buy donuts. Take to business owner. Ask nicely.

Lasting relationships can be started with little capital.
