Is sleeping in a truck with bad batteries stinking the sleeper cab a bad idea? I have no choice but to sleep tonight with the rotten battery smell...making me nauseous ..

I managed for 3 days before getting back to yard for new batteries.

Same problem, someone told me i have to change a DEF filter
-
I had sulfur smell and it was an exploded battery just like everyone said. If you open the battery compartment you will see a wet battery.
-
I already check the batteries in loves. And they are in good condition, the odor comes when the truck is parked, and go when the truck is moving,
Example : last night i drove 9 hours. when I parked the truck start to smell that bad odor.
Please help -
How did they check them? A lot of shops are using these fancy digital testers now which, in my opinion, aren't worth ####. Throw those batteries on a carbon pile load tester and put a load equal to half the CCA rating (usually 400-500 amps). You're going to see if a battery is toast pretty quickly.

That's 1 test. There's also the fast charge test. 3 minutes and 30 minutes. Shouldn't exceed 15 volts.
Sulfur smells only comes from batteries. If your smelling sulfur. The batteries are bad. No if's, and's, or but's.BoxCarKidd and AModelCat Thank this. -
No butts. Sulfur is smelly.

That's right too. Haven't done those other tests in years. Actually forgot about them to be honest.

An overcharging alternator can cause that also while cooking your batteries. What your voltage run?
