Another thing, I can drag a trailer around for 2 to 3 weeks, and as soon as I decide to get it washed, I get a drop and hook, and it's gone.

Now that I an now on mileage...It doesn't make sense to run the NE anymore....loads from the Carolina up to that area are paid a little better on percentage but I could live with the bad roads, no parking, rude people, and all the extra headache stuff from running up there because of the better pay....always have to sit a few hours going thru Baltimore and Washington no matter what time of the day or night....now I believe I am going to another fleet....not worth running up there for mileage....I can run in the south with nicer roads, people, parking you name it for the same money.....for instance....from Leesburg to Brentwood NY....on mileage it pays $420 less...after all expenses.....not worth it to me....

I'm leaving... I've applied for my own authority... We are getting hosed big time

Anyone know who I can talk to concerning getting another truck (I want to trade up to one that has an APU). I made my selection about 3 weeks ago, and tried to get an answer after the first week but the Contractor Relations Manager has yet to get back with me.

David Zable is the person you need to talk toLouisiana Gearjammer Thanks this.

I was thinking this exact thought. Theres no way it makes sense to do that vs running to texas every week. I was running to brentwood for a few weeks in a row , banking great cash. But one breakdown on long island can destroy that average, as it did to me in January. On long island, you have to be towed separate from your trailer. $700 tow bill for 9 miles. trailer/truck.
When I make the attempt to come back in Sept(ish) I will make sure it's non-forced and that I'm running southeast.
Good luck guys...see you at the end of the summer.
