Question please: How do you list your reefer fuel in profit gauges, as some of it is reimbursed, but not all? Also, what do you think of the new mileage pay schedule? Want to hear from you, LMB and anyone else at Sunco!

I put all reefer fuel in as an expense and then add the reembursments when I do my settlements... That was my biggest issue after switching to sunco. Aaron at profit gauges told me that's the correct way to do it and its been working good.. I'm not a fan of mileage rates as an O/O but that's just me... I've grossed anywhere from $1.41 to $1.82 all miles. That's what's cool about profit gauges... It will give you the true numbers...

    Frank Acavano Thanks this.

LMB, my friend, not to worry...the new pay schedule is purely voluntary, for those who want straight pay. In my post #196, on the bottom left, I've attached a pdf file of the new pay schedule. Just click it and it should open. In a nutshell, the new pay formula would work like this: It's a sliding pay scale, but for the majority of trips, which are over 550 miles, straight pay would be $1 per mile, plus fsc. They would also pay .90/mile for deadhead, and pay ALL reefer fuel. My suggestion would be check it out, then take your previous trips and plug in the numbers of the new mileage pay, and see which would have paid better. I've done it this way on mine, but I've only run two trips so far, so the sample is too small. In both I actually would have done better with mileage - assuming the FSC stays the same. They say the FSC will now only be paid on loaded miles with the new schedule - I guess they've been paying it for the deadheads as well all along. But that's it overall. Again check out post #196 and click the pdf link... BTW, if you do want the new schedule, gotta go to your recruiter or someone in settlements to sign an addendum.

Perfect, thank you...I had a call in to Aaron at PF also, but he's yet to respond. But you answered my tricky question.

My last issue on my truck is that the odometer is slow by 15-20%. Don't know what it would cost to fix it, but I'm thinking - why not just use the mileage shown on my Garmin Truck GPS, which I know is right, for mileage, rather than the odometer? The GPS is right on I know because it worked perfectly in my previous truck, plus in the auto (car) function it was spot on as well. Any bad repercussions from doing it that way?

One more question if you don't mind, Delixe... In Profit Gauges I found that I need to put in the fuel advance that I got from the comdata card for the trip, including the .85 fee, when I enter fuel cost in my settlements page. If I put in the ACTUAL fuel I used, the settlement page in PG won't match up with the actual settlement from Sunco. Is that what you do? Thanks!

I put my fuel advances in as retained earnings and then I use fuel gauges... It automatically brings over my fuel receipts...
