I have a 98 379 with a 12.7 Detroit and super 10 trans. I want to put an 18 speed in but not sure all in entails. How do make sure I get the correct trans? Is there a place I can put my old trans number and it will let me know what I can use?? Ratios and length

All you have to do is compare the high gear ratio in the 10 to the high gear ratios in an RTO and RTOO 18spd. You’re probably going to end up a little faster with a single over, and the double over might be ridiculous.

Search Eaton Fuller transmission ratios. If it is still on line it lists all the transmissions, ratios and length.
That is a pretty direct swap if the replacement has the same shift tower location. Yoke is the same size or will swap. Halo or no Halo, not a concern if it comes with a bell housing.

Super ten is the same length as a 13 or 18 direct swap except the shifter tower on the super ten is different

Pretty straightforward install from my experience. New clutch and clutch brake and a yoke to match your driveline. You will likely need to go to a driveline shop to have it shortened or lengthened depending on the conversion. New trans should come with shifter and color coded airlines.
