My last employer had a couple Super 10’s, one in a ‘95 T-800, another in ‘99 T-600. I liked ‘em. Didn’t think I would after hearing some much smack about them for years and years, but hey, such is life.

They essentially never existed in my neck of the woods. I've never even seen a truck with a regular 9 or 10 speed in it.
broke down plumber Thanks this. -
Super 10 is a different shift pattern than a regular 10. Most people can't shift a super 10 smoothly or at all really. 9's, 10's & Super 10's were the most common transmissions in small and large fleets alike here in the US back before automated became the norm. A lot of people will argue this one but for typical freight hauling here in the US on 5 axles you really don't need more than a 9 or 10 speed to do the job.

With the Super 10, you basically go thru the shift pattern 1 time, just ‘splitting’ each gear if you want, just pretend you have an 18sp., with no range, just a splitter.

Low transmission air pressure, sticking air piston, trying to downshift with RPM to high? Probably the high / low synco. It is shifting from high to low when you move the stick left. Common failure item.
