Doesn’t the real 46K rears have a larger oil capacity then the super 40s. And offers a system to pump gear oil to the axle ends
In a perfect world I’d get 52K Neway suspension.I’ve got 46K primaax a d I like it . Rides nice and handles the weight…..
Super 40 vs 40 rear ends.

In the older super 40's the center section was the same as 46's but the wheel ends were the same as 40's. I'm not sure about the oil pump. I don't think the super 40's have that but l might be wrong. It would make sense that the 46's have that but not the super 40'sCat sdp Thanks this.

My air trac is the same as a 46's but it's listed as a 44 on the build sheet. I'm guessing it's because legally the axles are 40's. On the door sticker it says 40. An acquaintance from NY told me years ago that in NY he had to have 46's instead of super 40's to get a heavy permit to pull his end dump for this reason. That was back in the early 2000's.

I’ve never seen a 46 Air Trac myself….not saying they don’t exist. I’m only familiar with 44 and 40 Air Trac.Vampire Thanks this.

I worked for the big green dump company for a while before they became a bunch of sell outs hiring idiots and I do remember they had a handful of trucks that had a penalty on their ny overweight for 40 rears
