I've had just one interaction with anyone with that company. The guy tried to force his way in front of me while I was in line for a fuel pump. When he came out of the store and saw me driving around the front of his empty truck to get to the pump that I'd been waiting for all along, he threw a little hissy fit. Super Ego was very fitting for that guy. He ended up leaving without even getting any fuel.

Any business will do that. As soon as you quit, most will just assume they don't have to meet their obligations to you any more. The idea is that they assume the former employee is too broke and their life is too much in chaos to take the former employer to court. If they do this to a number of employees, the ones that do manage to sue will not cost the company as much overall as they save by not paying all of them. They'll usually just pay the very obvious things that are easy to prove such as the last paycheck, so you can't show obvious evidence to the state department of labor, but sometimes they may not even pay that if they think they can get away with it. Most businesses beyond small ones don't have any ethics at all.Trucker61016 and Lennythedriver Thank this.

I’ve been warned about a lot of stuff!! I still ain’t blind....there’s no hair on my palms... and my tongue hasn’t rotted off yet so these warnings kind off fall on deaf ears!!

Lawyer up OP , That’s probably your only option at this point. I am not pro lawyer. Don’t believe in frivolous lawsuits and in general don’t care for lawyers but for situation like this they do come in handy. Your lawyer will send off a nasty threatening letter stating labor laws and contract laws between you and the company and you’ll probably quickly get your check.
