They did not go out of business, they filed for bankruptcy and during reorganization they were bought buy a investment company. The original Gainey name is being dropped and are switching all trucks to Super Service.

I drive for them now and I would only suggest them as a last resort. Since theyve changed over to super service ive been doing alot of sitting or doing extremly short runs. In the past 2 months most of my paychecks have been $200 or less and i only go home once a month if even that. Also they will tell u that they do 48 a states but they mainly run the north east. Teams do all 48 but solos dont go to texas and dont past Oaklahoma but you would be lucky to get that far.

Also trucking to get them to fix there own equiptment is like pulling teeth. They do not keep up with there equiptment at all. I just had a pm done on my truck and it was 9,000 miles overdue and my first pm i had was a month overdue. And kept saying something but they were more conserned about me doing loads. Also trying to get something fixed at a truck stop is extremely hard. Usually they only allow a trailer to be fixed at a truckstop but they will tell u they will get you to a terminal but it'll be weeks b4 you ever see a terminal.

The thing I hate the most is that they run u up and down the tolls roads but they dont have ezpass. In a week once I spent more than $300 in tolls and u can only get a $150 advance. They had a alot of drivers happy bc we recieved a message a few days ago that they had ezpasses in but we had to go to the main terminal to get them. Well what they didnt tell use was that they only ordered 150 and there just about gone now and I know im not gpoing to be able to get to the main terminal to get one so ima have to probably wait until they order more but i may not stick around that long. Its Ive already applied to other companies and gotten better offers so im just researching what would be best for me. But anywho I hope that helps.

I just left "Super Service/Gainey/LCT" and I must say, in all my years driving I have never dealt with a group of inept and dense gaggle of morons in my life.

The dispatch team is worse than a blind airline pilot giving directions. It is impossible to get any kind of resolve or result in dealing w/ any issues whatsoever.

The equipment is sup-par at best, and will fail every D.O.T. inspection, and what with CSA 2010 having gone active they have had 14 roadside inspections and all FAILED in the past 4 days. That does not bode well for this company. 30 drivers lost their jobs because apparently they slipped thru the cracks of the system and were not properly screened.

If you have any notions to truly work for these people then by all means may whatever deity have mercy on your soul. Because they won't

They just got their EZ-pass back..but the drivers have to pay a $75 deposit and it comes out of they're paychecks.

Also they DO NOT qualify for Pre-Pass due the unusually high SafeStat score they had prior to CSA 2010 being passed.

Which of the three did you work for, because even while they share the same name they are three separate companies. Superservice is a pos company, the division in Kentucky has got the be the stupidest company I have ever worked for. And I worked for Werner, granted they are nice people, but they couldn't run a proper safe trucking company to save their lives. In 3 months they took my perfectly maintained truck transfer from GST and turned it into a broken worn down bucket of bolts. I watched that truck go from never missing a maintence to being pushed 10k over the oil chance miles. They refused to or neglected to see through the repair of everything from leaky batteries to a stuck on jake brake. It was sad to see that truck go down hill so fast.

But the division in Grand Rapids was the best company I have ever worked for, and I am strongly considering a return. Under them the truck was repaired anytime I mentioned an issue. It only once missed a scheduled pm and only by a few hundred miles. We were treated well and we loved it. We also got as many miles as we were wanting, give or take a few slow periods.

So it really does matter which of the two you are talking about.

Doesn't surprise me about super service. However you have to realize that these companies got new dot numbers late last year, and that those numbers are less then a year old and are based not on number of drivers, but on number of inspections so if they have 6 bad inspections and 8 total inspections boom there you go. If you look at the actual sheet for violations you will see:

2,035 total inspections and 382 HOS violations (some drivers got tickets for several violations resulting in a total of 500something violations).

They have 990 total vehicle inspections of which 700 had violations, but MOST had several violations. Resulting in a total violation rate of more then 2x the inspections that resulted in violations.

Considering they have >1200 trucks thats INSANE....

But it does not surprise me, I am not concerned with HOS issues thats the driver not the company. But yes those numbers for Truck OOS are WELL EARNED. I had at least 5 violations that were OOS on our rig the day we quit.

Still pretty bad though. Anyone have GTS's US dot number?
