They are all over S. Cal, those super tags are going to take over the strong arm and drop axle dumps. I guess they can gross more weight than those by a few tons.
-
I thought strong arms can carry more weight, but I'm not sure. Trying to get info on who operates these?

RJ Noble, Betts Express, All American Asphalt, they are close to $175,000, I don’t know many owner ops that have took that jump.

Thanks for the reply, I'm thinking about applying.

I drove one of these last week for the first time in NorCal while my transfer (truck and trailer) dump was in the shop. It was sent over as a demo for us to try. I’ve also driven a strong arm drop axle super. These super tags cannot haul as much material as a drop axle super dump. At least the one I was in was gross 61,500. The drop axle was at 70,000.

Are they easier to maneuver compared to a strong arm?
-
I thought it was pretty simple bc I’m used to having a trailer behind me. It was strange not seeing my trailer. But, your not going to get one of those chip sealing on a mountain county road like you can a transfer... after I drop my trailer of course.

It’s also longer than a strong arm. The strong arm super is very tall and top heavy. You’ve gotta take turns easier in a drop axle bc that sucker WILL roll- I’ve seen it happen. These super tags are pretty simple.
