I don't know about that terminal specifically but overall you are getting on with a great company if you do come on board.

I'm out of Auburn ME so I pass through there often. They are busy and have good runs dedicated and system. Dan in dispatch is a good guy. The only down side is the terminal footprint is a bit smallish and can get tight at times. It's also a public tankwash so you'll have other companies in and out of there.
-
yes, I think superior is a good company, thanks to wsyrob and your treads being very open and informative, and the few drivers I met in a wash. I am looking for a OTR position, or will spend more time on the road before coming back, the sleepers look smaller on the Macks I saw, and I wonder if trucks are the same in all terminals or they have bigger sleepers available?Last edited: Dec 20, 2015

I saw a pic of the Springfield terminal on SC website and I also thought was small, I wonder if they have showers, bedrooms, kitchen and long parking for my car when I am on the road.
-
Most if not all terminals have parking for your personal vehicle when you are out on the road. Every terminal I have been to has drivers rooms with tv, microwave, shower, coffee. Some nicer than others.
Sleepers on the trucks could be a little bigger but I guess that is the compromise you have to make if you want to work for a company that pays well. I have learned to live with it as most others have. -
As far as amenities go, the Springfield terminal is on the bottom side of the list. The only real redeeming thing is that they have a Keurig machine.
-
Oh No!, just a Keurig Machine, I only work at places that have a at least a good Jura-Capresso J6 machine! Got keep my fine stands.
Just kidding, I'll check the terminal when I am there doing my interview and the town also, but is good to have a place to just drop truck n don't have to worry about, but I live in Boston and later I'll have to relocate closer to SC, so whatever amenities I could use at the terminal to organize myself between truck and home would help.
Thanks David. -
Talking about the SC trucks, Does the truck come with fridges? Does SC allow the removing of the passenger seat?
Thanks. -
Springfield Mass is a craphole just so you know
