Looks like I will get one more load before heading home.

They have me loading at 07:30 in Philly Friday and heading to Raeford NC. It will be a drop hook in Raeford probably Saturday.

I like the new terminal in Pedricktown NJ. Much quieter with friendly workers.
They have a clean shower and free frozen pizza in the tank wash drivers room.

They also have fishing poles you can use and a nice floating dock area. I doubt I would eat any fish swimming around a tank wash but it sure is a nicer place to hang out than a truck stop especially 20 miles from Philly.

Got down to the plant in Philly Friday morning about 30 minutes before my 07:30 appointment. It was pretty easy to get to just about a mile from the Walt Whitman bridge. Walked into the plant and they weren't expecting me and couldn't find any record of the order. This happens occasionally at plants. It makes for a longer day since the people who plan these things work bankers hours. I wound up sitting for 3 hours while they called and emailed each other, before being told that they would not load me and that the load was scheduled for next week.

I was deadheaded home and got in about 8 PM last night. Wound up making about 9 hours of layover, traffic and load cancellation pay on top of about 500 empty miles.

I am off until Wednesday where I have a dedicated Holland Mi load that will get me home for next weekend too. Time to go shopping for some Brisket and Boston Butt for the smokers.

I ran 515 miles yesterday and am sitting here at the Motor Inn just below Van Wert Oh. I am waiting until noon before starting my clock. I am 215 miles away with a 4-6 pm window. Holland only took 4-5 hours to unload me last time so hopefully I will be able to turn it with 2 sleeper berths and get back here before 1 am and get home Friday night. I usually run these with 3 nights just to reduce the stress waiting for them to finish unloading.

The 4 day holiday weekend was wonderful. Looking forward to another nice weekend.

Since the animals can't speak, I'd like to call attention to raised on anal shockers, cramped crates, inbred for uniformity, forced rape, ecoli outbreaks and heart attacks and compassion. Missing a few pointers.

I assume this is in reference to my smoker menu for last weekend. It sure was tasty. As far as the animals are concerned I see it as just being on top of the food chain. The lions in Africa don't seem to care much for what the wildebeests are feeling when they hunt them down. The meat industry should probably reform some of their practices but it won't stop me from cooking up a steak or some barbecue. I am a carnivore.

Got home Friday night about 11:15PM. They had some trucks go down so I am pretty much only getting a 34 in this weekend. Heading out with an empty Sunday morning around 08:15 to load in Plaquemine La at 09:30 Monday morning and come right back.

Headed out as soon as my 34 was in the log around 08:15 AM Sunday. Ran down to the TA on I-10 at the 4 in Alabama for about 660 miles for the day. Took a 10 and was about 5 minutes early for my loading appointment in Plaquemine La after fighting rush hour traffic in Baton Rouge. They then proceeded to spend 7.5 hours loading me which put me back on the road into the start of rush hour traffic.

I considered calling it a day in Biloxi and staying out an extra night. The load didn't deliver until Wednesday . I decided to run out my clock and stopped at the Pilot on I-65 just north of Mobile Al 635 miles from the yard. I am glad I did.

Dispatch called and had me drop the load on the yard for a local guy to deliver. I got home about 7:30 PM. I will be grabbing a load that is spotted at a customer when it gets ready around noon tomorrow. It is going to Kreamer Pa and even though it's technically a system load will be coming right back because its in a 3 compartment trailer. Its about 450 miles up there. You park at the plant in the unloading spot and they unload you the next morning. Customer does everything. I just hand them the bills.

It's a good load to finish off the week with. I should be back home Thursday afternoon. I am taking a vacation day Monday so this might be another 4 day weekend at home
