I'd personally wait for my record to be clean. But best thing to do is call the nearest terminal and be upfront about everything to see if your eligible. I'm not too sure about requirements. SC does hire fresh out of school, most people out of school usually have a few small issues
-
Thanks guys. I was thinking the same. Prove that it was my rookie year and then make some calls. Thanks for the input.

trying to decide which company to go with trimac or superior is the equipment that bad at superior.

The trucks aren't in disrepair, they just got suckered into that whole maxxforce debacle. The prostar to me is a very comfortable truck, but the number emissions related problems are outrageous. They are being replaced, but it isn't happening overnight. We still have quite a few 9200's that I imagine will be on the chopping block first.
-
Yea I agree. Trucks are in good shape just not reliable because of maxxforce. My prostar rides better than any truck I've ever had. We are going completely away from international. 80 percent mack and 20 percent peterbuilt. Besides the internationals SC is a good company to work for. I have no other complaints. Don't let the equipment issues run you off. They will be gone eventually. The only issues I've heard so far with the macks are water leaks on roof and they don't cool good when you idle at night unless you set the cruise

I would be working out of Charleston SC is that a good terminal to work for
-
I haven't been there I usually get sent ga, al, tn, most of the time. Our training center is in greer, sc been there a few times nice terminal. The dispatcher I dealt with there was nice. They are currently building a new tank wash there as well which will be nice. I did a loaded relay with a Charleston driver (IC) last week but didn't have time to chat because load was late already. The only "bad" terminal I have even heard of is markham. Place isn't bad people in office are nice. Just not in the best neighborhood and when you go through there you usually sit a little to get a load out

Ok thanks for the info, one more thing what are the trucks governed at

A blazing 65 mph lol. Not bad sucks trying to pass sometimes but generally they give you plenty of time to get where your going so your not rushed
