Superior Carriers, my experience.

last time I 'smoked pot' was over 8 years ago...hair test is 90 days, if I'm not mistaken. Don't get why people are 'freaked out' by that, unless they are still users...then they need to go the 'normal job' route!

 

Yep your career is toast if you do it it's not worth it a friend of mine expressed his interest in being a trucker and I told him you have to quit doing that #### he said I'll just quit long enough to pass the hair follicle then get hired on I can pass a piss test problem is they do random hair follicle and urinalysis at some companies it's just not worth it he never became a trucker probably a good thing for him

 

I'll admit, the new weed that people get now is extremely stronger than when I was smoking it. Plus, with how random testing is setup, even IF he passed a test, who says his name isn't drawn up again the following week? One of my former companies, my trainer had his name pulled 4 weeks in a row. He took the test, but after the 4th time he said he thinks they get the point he stopped doing drugs years ago! haha

 

Wait you get a hotel every night you on the road?

 

I asked the same question to the manager when I applied. He said they want me out of the truck once in a while lol. But like another person said their Mack pinnacle trucks are just aweful for otr work. The internationals are better but still crap. The problem you will run into is being routed back to your home terminal automatically. I have noticed about every 10 days you will be home. You can request to stay out but if they don't have anything, they will send you home.

 

What hotels do you get stay? Does Superior have an agreement w/ certain chains or do they give you a per diem?

 

Things slow down a little bit around this time of year for you all? Thinking about coming on board but dont want to be sitting at home alot for the holidays.

 

Stuff is legal for recreation or medicinal in so many states. It's time the industry wakes up and tests it like alcohol. Lower detections limits to hours not months. Don't be sanctimonious.

 

I don’t have a horse in this race but, I don’t think any chance of the industry treating it like booze until it’s legalized on a federal level.
