C'mon now I didn't mention any names lol. I also didn't say it was a bad place, they just have a lot of trucks that look like they could use a bath and all the missing parts put back on lol.

20 an hour is correct for training pay. All Superior hires, new CDL holder or not, go to Greer for a week. It's a good class. You also get milage to and from your home terminal if you drive your car.
Mack or International will be the rig. I'm in an International. Wish I had a new anthem, but either way, I didn't pay for it.77fib77, SurfBaker and MYSTYKRACER Thank this. -
I drive one of those new Anthems with Highway it’s a nice truck lots of cabinet space, equipped with microwave and fridge has all the bells and whistles~But man let me tell ya it’s a ruff riding truck drove a Pinnacle before this one much better ride~ you feel everything little bump lol

I was told that I'll be doing my driver training out of the Creola, AL terminal for a month or so depending on how I do. I was told there is also a week of training in Greer, SC after my road training. I have not heard anything about pay nor have I asked. I've read enough threads from a few different people about Superior to the point where I am not concerned about the pay. I will update this thread as I progress through the training process. Right now, I'm just waiting to be issued a company number and given a report date for training. I'm hoping to hear something this week. I'll let you know what the pay is for each step along the way.MYSTYKRACER Thanks this.

Received my employee number yesterday, July 18, watched the usual corporate training videos & now headed out for training in Creola, AL on Monday July 22nd. It's taken right about one month to get hired on & I am ready to get out there and clock some miles. I was told I will be with a trainer for about 45 days & that it's up to me & my performance to determine when they will cut me loose with my own truck. I'll update as I go and let anyone interested know about the pay & all that. I never even asked about pay, I figure they'll brief me when I get up to the terminal in Alabama. I'm just grateful to be an employee with a good company right out of the starting gate. Thanks again to all those who posted so much good information & helped me get where I am.

Thanks for the update! Do you know if you'll be running regional or otr/system freight when you get out on your own? I'll be curious to hear what the difference in pay / home time between the two would be? I've heard regional gets you home weekly and maybe even out-n-backs home a few times a week whereas otr/system you're out 10 - 12 days before being routed home.
