You go with a trainer first. After the trainer ok's you, they send you to orientation.

    GearWarrant Thanks this.

Some of these other guys have been since I have. I went when it was still in Kingsport Tn. Its a huge hazmat class. They also cover company policy. They have training trailers and go over pump and air unloads. At the end you will take a written open book test. Jack and Robert make what could be real dry and boring material tolerable. You will laugh alot. Don't be late for class.

The team at Superior is working hard to get my school on their list. Linda said there are a bunch of drivers out of the Cincy terminal that have been there 30 years. She said her and Dan the terminal manager have been there 30 years or longer.

    Wow.

I was told when I was starting that one reason they developed the training program for students was to replace an aging driver force as they retired.

That could very well be the case by the sound of things.

Do you know any O/Os that pull for them? Just curious how well they make out.

Yea! TDI in Sellersburg, IN has been approved as a truck driving school sufficient for Superior. Things are moving right along.

I know a few o/o's out of my terminal. They say they do pretty well. I considered getting my own truck at one time but came to the conclusion that I did not want the hassle of maintaining my own truck.

Been terribly busy this past week or so. Did minimal reading on the forum. We are well on our way now to getting back to the US and no longer have a place to live here. Household goods are gone and we are in temporary lodging until we leave for home.

Can't wait to get back. Looking forward for the trip to Cincy to visit the terminal.

What makes the OP believe his questions are superior?

    Sounds a bit narcissistic, innit?
