Aireal, I guess we're, or at least I am, just used to cottoning Southern hospitality.

I know your rural area quite well, do some hunting not far from you near Otter Creek and in the approach to Cedar Key in and around where Rosewood -used- to be. Have several friends in Chiefland and train and run my blue ticks along the Waccasassa River.

I guess it's too much to expect hospitality and civility all the way around in this day and age (shrug) but I still extend it to all I come across, whether it is returned or not. If it's not returned, I simply walk as I have no time, space or need in my life for people that can't be bothered to treat another human with decency and THAT is universal, whether in the South or anywhere else.

Lol actually I was born even further south, but alot of my friend call me a southern yankee, has to do with the amount of ppl from the north I went to school with. I'm pretty much the same way, being polite even to those that you dont like, or maybe especially to them, was pretty much thumped into us growing. You could tell my Momma didnt like someone just by how polite she was to them. She poured you one glass of tea cause you might not know where the glasses were, if she kept asking if you wanted something, she didnt like you at all, if your liked your family and family knows where the fridge is.
