Anywhere I touch, it does the same thing at the same two spots. I am not pressing too hard or anything. This one is a little better because I don't see the same thing happening when the truck hits a bump. Thanks.

Just bought a new 730 a few months ago.

screen freezes black,hit reset button in back to reboot.

screen freezes white w/ small thin blk lines across screen about 1 '' apart,hit reset button.

screen freezes w/ route displayed

screen flashes in center of display(like a flash bulb going off on a camera)screen rolls once then recalculates,this happen alot.

and the usb charger doesnt seem to charge the unit well,is there a shorter 12v charger anywhere i can buy?also the connection port to charge is comming loose and i have to finagle the cord to get it to hold a charge.

several navi error messages and a low memeory message all while driving.

 

Could someone explain to me how to add this address as a stop in the 730?

The first four are power issues. Your comment about the USB charger might be the issue. The 7" unit requires at least 2.4 amps. If yours is only rated for 1 amp then your 730 is not getting enough power to charge the battery and run the HD screen at the same time.

Low Memory - try to boot at least every 2-3 days. Like any computer, things hang in memory and you have limited memory. Rebooting clears out the cache memory.

Navi Errors - know issue and we are working on... I think we hit a milestone and have it narrowed down.

I talked to a RM tech and she said the same basically.shes sendind a new free of charge 12v and wall charger to see if it makes a diff.If not they will repair or replace it in 2 weeks time according to her.

 

The 5" requires 1amp and the 7" requires 2.4amps...

DO not use the DC/USB on a Tablet, it will power it, but if you look at the battery status you will see it slowing discharging instead of charging, even if the Adapter shows 2.4amps.

Did an update get pushed to the tablet, i dont know what happened but was going down the road and i dont know when it happened but all the settings got wiped out, and the way you enter addresses changed, now it asks for house number before entering street name
