What I am saying is in comparison to the 730, the accuracy of the maps is in question. Almost monthly the 730 had updates for construction etc. With the 740 simple things such as lane guidance is inaccurate, and even what side of the road truckstops are on is wrong. It is the little things like this that, especially when it is touted as "new and improved" that call into question other issues. Don't get me wrong, I am pleased with the 740, however it seems the quality control for the software needs a little TLC. I have spoke with support reps and they told me that I needed to speak with them on phone so they can walk me through a "work around" for map updates.

    There is no map updates.

Give me examples of the above issues

    Construction is quarterly.

If it says no updates then it has no updates. All the updates were done on software installing before being sold.

    Thanks mark

The later models do not as a survey found out a small % ever used it. Any A.C. with a 5vdc @ 3.5a will work.

    Thanks mark

When was the TND510 released? I bought it when it first came out and I am thinking of purchasing the newer 530 versus updating the 510 by plugging it into my pc... The 530 was released in 2016 correct?

510 was quite a few years ago. 530 is a few years old. Current is 740.

510 will get the latest maps for this year. But it's hardware is slow.

    Thanks mark
