I am not happy that you got a different TND that what you had orginally. I hope you realize that I am here for you the drivers. I am not someone whom has never seen the inside of a truck. I came off the road last year, not by my choice. RM and I want you to be happy with your TND. You made a major investment. RM will make it right.
I suspect mabye a hardware issue with your T5B.
Thanks,
Mark

Make sure if you have a 5" (T5B,T5C) to get your update done. It should put you on Version 1573.
Preferences\Device Settings\About

The start point is irrelevant in that you will end up in a corn field if you select this address or a corn field if you try and route to the cross street.
2nd) is a major Drop yard for multiple companies. 6800E 39th st Kansas City MO. If you type this address you will end up about 20 miles away from the yard. You will be directed correctly if you sellect the cross street of Manchester.
Mark many of us are company drivers. We get routing to a certain degree. What some of want/need is a quick way to tap waypoints into the GPS so we can plan our 14hr break/stops, where to fuel, estimate travel time and so on. Also when a way is blocked the GPS is great to get you on track.
My point is I, as a driver don't have time to punch in 10 or so stop points when I have to look up each city and even then no guarantee it'll work. IE (285 and I-85 atlanta) sure this intersection might be in an adjoining city, but do I have time to figure it out and try the multiple options?
I use the GPS as a map. When lost I pinpoint a street that's close by. But to be honest, I can drive 60 miles in the time it takes to route a delivery on the gps.
Pinpointing waypoints would be a big plus for me.
Sorry for long post.Mark Kling Thanks this. -
Mark,
There are a lot of issues with Arizona. I 40 through half of the state, the mapping data and GPS data don't sync.
If you try to take highway 93 south of I 40 towards Phoenix, it will tell you to u turn for about 100 miles.
It shows highway 93 north of I 40 in Kingman as restricted. 93 is legal until highway AZ 68 to Laughlin, NV. Not only is it legal, it is the official truck detour around hoover dam to vegas.
I run Reno to Phoenix all the time, and when you get south of vegas the TND becomes useless pretty much all the way to phoenix minus the time spent on I 40.Mark Kling Thanks this. -
Quote" Just updated the 500. I like the update so far. A little disappointed in actual functionality of the update. I would still like to see a route preview and would like to be able to select a specific street or highway as a via point. But other than that it looks really good so far.
1st route to your location, then select the city where you want a VIA point added. Then instead of "begin route" go to the bottom of that screen and hit "go to map". Once the map screen shows up you can move the screen around, zoom in/out to find where you need (Put the + on the spot you need). At the bottom of the screen it will show "route to here", click on that and then on the next screen it will show "add as VIA". click on that and now that location is part of your trip. In the Multi-stop\current trip folder you can arrange the stops\via's in the order you need.
Thanks,

Mark....I just updated our 500 and the clock shows current time as 6:50 PM, but it is 7:50 PM, here in Alabama. Is it just my dumb luck or are others having this same problem? By the way.....I believe my glasses are functioning quite well tonight.....*S*

On a side note, why is there even a city and separate metro section? There's no markers anywhere denoting this mysterious area of metro and the addresses do not change based on whether you're in it or not. It just adds more confusing ways to fail at trying to enter the address. Can that just be eliminated? -
can anybody tell me what's the life of the battery when is fully charge, my tnd 700 runs no more than 1/2 hour, please anyone! thanks.
