When I have my gps connected, I always update and backup my files. Usually in that order. I would've thought by clicking restore files I would've been given a list of saved files to pull whichever saved set I wanted... Not that user friendly I see.
After loosing all of my original addresses, I have been re-entering recently used addresses. When I tried restoring the previous addresses it wiped away those addresses as well. I would consider myself fairly computer savy, I cant imagine the un-savy users nightmare with this poor setup.
Looking forward to finding a possible solution.

Mark, I can no longer use my TD700 with any reliability, the power cord doesn't connect all the time and it needs to be repaired, the problem is, I cannot find my receipt, I purchased my TD700 last October at the TA in Harrisburg, PA, I hope that Rand will honor their warranty, I have decided that I have to purchase a replacement since I would rather not be without a GPS, after much research, I am going to replace my 700 with a 710, PC Miler, Cobra and all the others just don't have what the Rand has, and since I am already familiar with the 700 it makes sense to go with the 710, what most upsets me is that I am about to spend another $450.00, bringing the total amount spent in the last eight months, to $900.00 can you tell me if Rand will replace or repair my unit? I don't want to get a refurb unit as a replacement, I would rather have my original unit repaired, as I have read many posts about other users getting refurbs that are unreliable, hopefully you can answer my concerns.

What is the serial number of your TND and do you still have the receipt?
Thanks,

When you hit the restore button it will restore the last saved "users" folders. If you had nothing in the user folders when you updated, then this is what saved. If you enter in new information, do a backup first.
Send a response back to you via E-Mail.
Thanks,

Model? on back - bottom right.
If C/E model see prior post on TND Dock.
Thanks,

The file may have become corrupted, but by deleting and letting it rebuild should resolve the issue.
