    ok to say i am pissed would be putting it lightly. Got up this morning to screen that says system file missing contact support. i called them and after 30 mins he said do you have your proof of purchase i told him its been over a year i really dont know where it is and i would pay if needed. He said nothing I can do for you. huhhhh i just purchased new maps for this and with all the problems i have with this thing you got to be ######## me. Mark you have been helpful in the past but i have about had it with rand mcnally this #### aint even funny. You recently sent me a cable for this unit then i purchased liftime maps. this guy tells me some people have purchased these from ebay and they don't cover them wow what a way to treat a customer i purchased mine from pilot. AFTER ALL THE MONEY I HAVE SPENT ON THIS UNIT HE SAYS I HAVE A CHINESE PAPER WEIGHT LOOK BACK AT MY HISTORY I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS OUT THIS UNIT. MARK IF YOU CAN HELP GREAT IF NOT IM FINISHED WITH RM:biggrin_25516:Mark I also sent you a email about this thanks

    i think he said his name was Akim not sure.
    Well again Mark comes through he finds corrupted files and spends over 30 mins remoted hooked up to my computer and removes and replacing files reformatted the hd. He checked everything and told me to restart the tnd and sure enough it worked.I am here to tell ya i dont know what they pay him but its not enough. I really should have contacted him first he has never let me down

    The only time I have problems with mine is when I update it so I stopped updating it, no more problems!...I mostly do city driving and I don't have time to stare at local maps so it needs to work properly...

    I bought my TND 700 in August 2010, and have NEVER updated it for this reason, ive heard to many bad things about the updates

    unless RM is going to give me a new GPS free, when mine turns into a paper weight if i were to update it, i'll keep useing the old maps....lol
