Before I updated to the new dock it seemed that everytime I opened the old dock there was some kind of update. Now with the new dock, I have yet to have an update. Is that the way it is?

Before everyone slams me, this is what I found out today.

If you are on an older Dock and try to update, it will ask you to update to the New Dock. If you say no, then you still cannot update off the Old Dock. If you do update and the New Dock installs, be aware it will want a TND attached and "on" to the computer. It will make a backup of the TND, be aware this can take up to an hour depending on the model.

Once this is done the New Dock will be installed.

What is not active at this time.

    Import Custom POI's.
    Update.

Rand is bringing everyone over to the New Dock so the files that are needed for updating will be pointed to the correct path in the Cloud.

Rand will turn on the New Dock by Model as not to overwhelm the servers.

I do not have the schedule yet of what Models and when.

No new versions have been released as of Aug 2011. A new version is in QA and should be released soon. No set date yet.

So hang tight on the New Dock.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Mark, I did not check to see if you responded to me. I just went and bought a new unit. I am not happy about spending the money that i did not have, but oh well. If there is a way to resurrect this other unit, then at least I can have a backup. I really cant do anything remotely until I get home around March 21 but if you could give me your contact info, I would be gladly contact you to setup a time to fix my unit. please feel free to private message me or send me an email. thanks, Linda

mark i have talked to you on phone before you were helpful, just ordered new power chord again (must be yearly thing) but oh well.i deliver furniture,it will run you down roads you should not be on and when it wants you to turn around it doesnt care what road it puts you on,i have been at this (truck driving stick hauling) a long time,so it is just inconvenient.i feel for new drivers who trust these units

Let me know what roads and make sure you have U-turns set to avoid.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Hi Mark, I could really use some help here..... I've tried to install the new dock for the 710, but after the install is completed I get "The dock launcher has stopped working".... I installed with the TND connected, and have had no luck. Any advise would be appreciated.

Make sure you have MS .Net Framwork 3.5 installed (min req).

    Send me your C:/files.

    Thanks,
    Mark
