Did an upgrade to the dock about 2 months ago. Now it won't update unit, hasn't since new dock. The button says update available but it looks "grayed" out, It was set up to auto launch too, but now I get an error message when I turn 'puter on.

You can delete Navi/user/user.ini by looking at the TND as an external drive. This will delete any settings you have, not affecting your address book or IFTA mileage. The file will rebuild.

OK, I have a TND500 (I know, I know... Couldn't afford the 710)
Anyways, It has been working brilliantly since I got it in December, however, I finished a trip from L.A. to Michigan on last Monday (one week ago), I drove home Tuesday morning, turned off the unit, exited my truck, and haven't touched the truck or the GPS until this morning...
I get in the truck, turn on the GPS, try to build a multi-stop trip (which it did), then I went to "start trip", and I got nothing...
All the prompts are there ("add another address?" "truck empty or loaded?", etc.), however, even after I go through all of that, the screen goes straight to the map...
So I figured, it must be mad at the Multi-stop trip screen, and decided to try to do the trip one by one... THIS time, I put in the address, "start new route", etc... and THEN the "calculating" box comes up, and stays there... No directions at all...
It still gets mad at me if I go over the speed limit (not that I do, I'm just saying), It still alerts me to speed limit changes (which I always heed), etc., it just doesn't give me any directions...
I need help... How could the GPS work well, THEN take a crap after not being touched for 5 days??
I've tried the reset button on the back; same thing... I even let the battery die on its own, then recharges it fully; same thing... I D/L the TND dock per RM tech support, who says there are updates for my unit, but when I connect it to my PC, the "update" button is greyed out...
What to do?? I almost want to hurl this thing out of the window... -
Thanks,
Mark -
(It's ok; I'm a girl)

Mark
