FYI - there and PLENTY available. I think that they are having their own reorder issue and not a supply issue. Are they all from the same chain (brand) of truck stop?

I hope to buying a 720 next week but have a question. My company uses PCmiler for routing and pay purposes. But all we ever get is the start and end location with maybe one or two waypoints. I still like a paper routing. Tried Streets and Trips but it is not good for HD trucks. My Garmin shows terrible routes as well. Will the Rand show similar routes as PC Miler? Can you export the routing somehow so it can be printed?

Based upon your truck settings that you enter in on the TND-720, the TND-720 will try to route you on truck legal routes. You have many options such as "Prefer Freeways" which will keep you off US and smaller routes till your destination or "Allow Freeways", which will route you based upon fastest or shortest. Take into account that the TND does not look at traffic when calculating routes.

You can always head off in your own direction and the TND-720 will recalculate the route based upon your direction.

    thanks,
    Mark

My company and I think most companies use the PC Miler program for payroll and routing. I have found that the Rand GPS follows that routing pretty much most of the time unless you use the shortest route function which is not always the fastest route. I don't see a lot of way points on my payroll stub either as they are not necessary for compiling the total mileage. If I deviate from the normal route for some reason then I will see more waypoints on my pay stub.I don't think you can print out a route before travelling it.

    To Mark

If you use the breadcrumb function can you print out that route after having travelled it.

    Thanks
    John

Hey my unit recently did something funky. It zoomed out to world map, then back in, then I no longer had sound. My buddy has the same, 710 and his did this too. I haven't updated it lately, could it be that or is my sound just shot?

On the 720, you can save the Breadcrumb and recall it later. But, you cannot print it out for a hard copy.

    Thanks,

That is odd. I would suggest you run the New Dock and under Tools run the Diagnostic and repair.

    thanks,

I wonder if any big carriers are, or are going to switch to the TND 760. It looks pretty cool and would appear to be a head-to-head competitor to Qualcomm which seems to have had almost a monopoly on that niche for a long time.
