Heres one for you mark...Why did I buy a 500 TND700 and then try to connect to windows with the dock and the device is not recognized by windows? I call support and all they tell me is its a known problem and try to plug it in again it might work the next time..Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this known problem or do i just not get updates or fixes until Rand fixes a problem that should not have even existed. Sorry to be negative but its a lot of money to spend on something to get specific features that don't work.

Do we still have to have to allow toll roads and ferry's ect ect or can we now disallow the ones we don't want. I do not want to allow toll roads.

1. TND 700 fully charged - the TND 700 draws more power from the USB port than most computers can supply thus if the battery does not have a good charge, the computer will not be able to supply the required input power.
2. Build in USB device driver. Your computer may have it pre-installed. If it does not, have the TND plugged in and on. By using the device manager you can usually get new devices updated for the correct device driver. The TND 500\700 does not supply this driver.
3. The Mac may or may not see the TND 700. I am on a Mac Pro with the latest OS and it does not see the TND 500\700. But a tester is behind a few OS versions and his sees the TND's fine.
4. Try different USB ports. Mine has 6 and only 4 will see any TND.
5. Try leaving the TND connected and powering the TND off\on.
6. Leave the TND connected and on for about 30 minutes. It took my Toshiba about 30 minutes the first time to see the TND 700. Now it works fine.
7. USB port - now this works. RM has seen a few brands of computers that simply will not see the TND 700. If you have a Powered USB hub try using it. 100% of the issues with the MAC and certain brands of computers will connect the TND 700 with the Powered USB hub. The powered USB Hub does have to be plugged into an AC source. A regular USB hub will not work as it draws it's power from the USB port. A powered USB hub provides it own power and thus giving the TND 700 a good power source.
As for the TND 700 USB port, it is build to current USB specs and RM cannot test every type of computer or model of computer out in the public. Like I mentioned I have seen several different brands that will not allow the TND 700 to show connected, but the Powered USB hubs resolved that issue.
Docking stations for laptops. The USB port may or may not allow the TND 700 to show connected using the USB port off the docking station. The laptop works fine, but not the Docking station USB port.
thanks,

In regards to a post -
Found the problem. False weight restriction flags through BrownsvilleKY.
That or the restrictions were south of Brownsville until they finished
the new highway. Maps are inaccurate south of town.
From Rand - Weight restriction removed on Ky-259. Changes will bereflected in the next data update. After update, TND should route
straight down KY-259 instead of heading north from Bee Springs, KY.
Thanks for finding this and reporting it.

After traveling 30 miles or so at roughly 1500 feet underground at 60mph backwards without moving on the map, I think I will RMA this one.
