I’ve seen a lot of LGT trucks up here in the PNW. Brown 579’s. Do they have cameras?

N2 is around -310 degrees, O2 runs around -294. I constantly had to tell guys with 'frozen' pumps that it was OK that the hospital could only give them cold water as it was well over 300 degrees warmer than the frozen pump...
I was told that when a cyro trailer develops front to back surge it is a sign that the baffles have become detached, usually a sign for a rebuild, especially if it has hard time keeping a vacuum between the inner and outer shells...The caps on topo of a cryogenic trailer ae not threaded on but only held in place by the vacuum between the shells.
The cost of the double shell with no thickness loss to corrosives means that they will be re-built multiple times.
On the other hand way back when Liquid Carbonic was contacted by Con Ed to spot an N2 trailer in NYC to freeze the dielectric oil [transformer oil] inside the underground electric conduits for repairs; they always sent the unit with the worst vacuum.
We would re-fill the spotted trailer until the repairs were completed weeks later. With the trailer delivering a steady stream of N2 and it's lower vacuum meant more re-fills.....Last edited: Oct 27, 2020
