Holy ####. A grand a week. Any bank in the country will lend you enough to go get a brand new pete with a 130 inch ari sleeper on it for less than that.

But they give you a “fuel bonus” of $300-$400 per week. Plus a lease completion bonus of $.0525 per dispatched miles during the life of the lease which will be at least $25k. That’s literally a check they give you at completion. Plus they refund all excess mileage charges. If you leave you still have big lease payments but no bonuses. It’s an antidote and poison pill scenario.Last edited: Dec 15, 2019
Reason for edit: More info.alds, Jarhed1964 and Upinsmoke Thank this. -

Not with no down payment, not without stellar credit and not without a business history with a well written solid business plan.
Besides read that carefully ... It's fixed cost, not truck payment. That's insurance, QC and who knows what else included.
Not that it's a good deal or bad. But you can't make an assumption one way another. There's simply not enough info there without actually getting into the meat of the contract.Rugerfan, Cabinover101 and Upinsmoke Thank this. -
1k a week is bad no matter what. I don't care if it includes all fixed costs such as insurance, Qualcomm and plates/permits.alds, Cabinover101, Long FLD and 1 other person Thank this.

As far as taking it somewhere else, there may be a clause in the contract that states you may go elsewhere, but only if that carrier opens up their books to “prove” you can make it. Landstar for instance will tell Pime to screw themselves.
One just needs to read the fine printalds, towtrucker, Upinsmoke and 2 others Thank this. -
Better yet, go over the contract with a lawyer.Cabinover101, Upinsmoke, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this.

Also realize with a lease purchase from someone like Prime, it’s not in their best interests to let you run loads from someone else. They can make money off of loads in many ways before you ever see the load rate
Dave_in_AZ, Upinsmoke and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
Hmm if I read write it included repairs and tires also .....i.d have to look at my numbers last year but I might be close to that 1k a week including work comp plates ins and repairs .....
Upinsmoke Thanks this. -
They don't care what you do with the truck you lease. All you need to do is make the payments to Success Leasing. Yeah, it's a a separate company under the "Prime" umbrella.
It's a separate company that leases trucks. They buy new trucks and then lease them to Prime or I/C's. Prime company drivers run trucks leased by a "fleet manager" that leases a fleet from Success Leasing and then puts company drivers in them.
"Prime" isn't concerned what you do with the truck. As long as you can "rent-to-own"...
