I used to read every and any post destruction survival books
Always looking for new ones??????
My favorite is The Plague I forgot the author
It was based on survival after a wild strain kills 99.9% of every body
Being a non nuclear destruction all items were left intact
Allot like the scene in On the beach
When the sub from England looks for survivors of radiation in the USA

On the serious side of this subject I must say that they one thing that is gonna kick everyone's hiney, well some maybe not all, but folks now days have no clue how to share and help one another out, give instead of receiving and just doin the right thing because it's the right thing to do.
Nope now days most folks are in the "every man/woman/child for themselves.

 

Sure in a perfect world with perfect people

Yes, being organized to help each other out is great ( thats government )
But in extreme survival scenarios when there is not enough to go around
I will do what I need to do to provide for my family
But I will include you, hope you like dog

It doesn't take a perfect world hun just people who can get past the fact that there is no 'I' in team. You'd be surprised what one small group of people working together can do.
