My childhood ranged from just about the Vietnam War until Reagan. We moved around a lot. I learned there are people that look like people you knew before in whatever city you live in now. I also learned that it didn't matter if you lived in Miami, LA, Maine or Oklahoma, depending on the topic, you lived in the "buckle of the Bible Belt" or the most strategic nuclear target in the US because there was a national guard armory within 50 miles and the Soviets would nuke you before DC, or it was just a matter of time before tornadoes/hurricanes/earthquakes/etc killed everyone.

That's to say, EVERYONE claims their town, their job, their something makes them a special target of reality. It's a way for people to feel significant. No matter how many times they said it or felt it and been wrong, this time it's certain the end is coming.

Long term for me personally? My body will die by whatever means the Lord decides. I surrender fully to whatever that is and make no move to avoid it.

Long term for the country? People running out of toilet paper next week will vote for bernie because charmin is better than dollar bills or newspaper on your bum. A surprise bernie win will conpletely destabilize the economy and stock market. Massive waves of over-leveraged capital projects will fail to make their repayment terms. Large scale unemployment leads to large scale new welfare applicants that eventually cant be funded. When EBT defaults, widescale riots, social unrest, sweeping change of government. Essentially a revolution. I didnt dream this up, its called the cloward and piven strategy.

As for corona virus? To me its just another germ like all the others that didnt kill me yet. If youve got a good cure for athletes foot under the toenail bed i am all ears though.

Trump just said free corona virus tests on radio before i could change the station. It reminds me of swine flu when obama said free healthcare. And then poof.. Swine flu solved. Corona will be the same but only after sweeping legislative change.

We dont realize we are playing a game of chess with a very very good opponent.

 

If you keep watching the same TV you've complained is biased and sensational you deserve to be scared and pay $10 for TP.

The people on TV are not trained to sift through info and only tell you the verified info. Their job is to make you dependent on them. It's just as easy to go to WereAllGonnaDie.com as it is CDC.gov There is no gold medal for freaking out.

 

Some cities, like in the LA basin prohibit new homes from being built with wood burning fireplaces. I think some Denver area cities prohibit suburban homes from burning wood in fireplaces on certain "smog days". Natural gas fireplaces are still OK there.

 

It looks like it will become necessary to revoke certain civil liberties and begin to quarintine with force of law backed by arms. Any infected person wanting out trying to physically escape is essentially attempting a form of bio-murder and needs to be halted, haildol or whatever means to make it happen.

The coronavirus is a flu.


Those who have died had serious medical issues.


You will get it, and if you are healthy and well hydrated, you will have flu like symptoms and will survive as most people will survive.


What is causing a lot of problems is the fear of it.


My trip yesterday and today proved that people are just stupid.


My trip was my weekly trip to get food and stuff - next time I will just have it delivered.


Running out to get supplies just because something is happening and exposing themselves and their kids just to others who may or do have the virus is wrong.


I had to go out, just as my wife had to work at the main hospital and one of the clinics last week.


As I said to my wife, we will end up getting it and we will survive, and for her it is a two week vacation and skype interviews with her doctor. For me it is two weeks of working at home.
