    Hello,

I have a class b and work for a local school district in TX.

Got a notice for MSB (a private corporation under contract with the DPS) that my license is suspended.

My ticket was for no insurance. paid in full on time etc. then i get a notice that my license has been suspended. and that i should turn over my lic. to the DPS until i settle it.

question is, so i pay this money grab fee on top of the ticket i have already paid for (will total close to $1000), will my license be reinstated without any further action by myself?

there is a ton of info about this "law" that rick perry enacted a few years back to fleece the working public. It's under Texas Transportation Code, Chapter 708

Seems to me like a complete abuse of power and a way to criminalize the working people of Texas.

i hope you folks can help me with some good advice.

all comments and suggestions are eagerly awaited.

    thank you.

You say you paid the ticket so take your proof to the DMV and get it reinstated.

The MSB wants to collect additional funds on top of the paid ticket, hence the suspended license.

I have read several comments from folks who have dealt directly with MSB and it seems they are arrogant to the hilt.

i am going to phone the DPS.

You have 30 days from notice to contest it.

What you are saying you always kept insurance yet you were charged with no insurance? That sounds like a no brainer to prove in court. Why didn't you go to court and get it dismissed?

Either you have a solid defense or you don't. If you don't you have no choice but to pay the money grab.
