No doubt. The mods don't like multiple threads about the same question. I know, I use to be a mod on here. Like another member pointed out, a suspension is a suspension. The reason doesn't matter at all to the companies.
DJ, if your license is still suspended, that means that you DON'T HAVE A LICENSE. As has been said multiple times before. Companies don't care why your license was suspended, they are not going to hire you until that suspension drops off your record. As to being nice, life ain't fare, deal with it.
I don't like money so I want to become a Trucker? MmmK. And DJ if you were really a good artist then you would know you can all ways do stuff for cheaper. If you quit that because it became all about the money. Then what do you think life is about? I know life is not all about the money. And as an artist you get tired of I want a Butterfly, or How Much some old english dat sayz ogsizzle cost? Yes I feel for you more then you will ever know. Most people that walk into the shop just pick some dumb flash to get. Thats because most people are SHEEP. So was the problem that you were not allowed to be artistic? Or that the people were only bringing the same old stuff? You know you have the right to say fudge off I ain't doing that. You got to take the good with the bad. One of my best friends is a tattoo artist. He hates most of the pure crap people want him to do. But he does his best and hopes they come back with a better ideas or someone with a brain sees his work so that he gets to do fun original stuff. And that's is the kind of stuff you live for but you might do one fun piece every 4-6 months it sucks but its life
As long as you have reinstated your license you can get accepted into a school. It does not matter that your license was suspended, they will ask why, but, since it was for traffic tickets that will be no problem. An individual with a suspended license due to a drug/alcohol charge or felony conviction would be a problem. If you are unemployed, under employed or a dislocated worker you can apply for free funding for training through the WIA program. This is offered through the Employment Security Commission. If you qualify for the program you could pick a trucking school that you want to attend as well as which company you wish to work for upon graduation. Best to You!!!
Not sure how long a suspension stays on your record, but companies will look back 3 years for some things and up to 20 years for other things such as DUI's. A standard question on applications relates to EVER having your license suspended or revoked.
thats not what i meant..like you said some ppl are sheep. i am not. life is short i intennd to enjoy it.inkin wasnt makin me happy anymore it became a "job" i wasnt doing it because i loved doing it anymore.i was doing it for the money. i still have my gear,i still do tats but im not happy.i think driving will make me happy. so if i have to sling ink for a few more yrs and wait for record to get clean so be it. i am a patient man.and god things come to those who wait
The standard application will ask for 3-5 years of violations\suspensions\revocations. It will likely stay on your record for about 10 yrs. Some applications will go that far back. If trucking is what you really want to do, go for it, but start smart. Look at the local haulers, who might start you part time washing trucks, and being a yard jockey. There is nothing wrong with starting this way, if possible try to attend school at the same time (local Technical Schools maybe). This may show that local hauler that your serious about driving and learning how to do it right. All this will have to be done AFTER you get your license back.
