swapping ecm

    I have a c15 mbn bridge engine and I have found a 6NZ 550 hp ecm from a person with a very good price. So my question is can I just pull the mbn ecm and put on the 6nz and go??????????????????????

    check CAT SiS is the flash file available for ECM u wanna install.

    Yes you can swap the ECM , whether you have problems or not, will depend on how each ECM's Customer Parameters are programmed.

    The Injector Calibration Codes won't match and will need to be re-programmed to match the injectors in the engine, but it will run without doing this.

    The Pulse Per Mile won't match this will cause the speedometer/odometer to be inaccurate

    The Cruise Control may not function as your used to depending on the settings

    The Jake Brake may work differently

    These things can be changed in the used ECM to match your MBN ECM.

    I had posted a response earlier...but for some reason its not showing up...Haney is correct....noticed you are in Alabama....if you get near Charlotte, NC....I can reset those parameters for you ...and change to a better flash file....bring both ecms...or just let me or Haney reprogram your original ecm. RW

    Well the reason i asked this about using 6nz ecm was so that I would have one to use until I got Mr haney to tune my original. I hardley ever get out of ala to get my ecm tuned but it would be nice if I could
