Swift doesn't have a reputation for going after the new company,no. You will be required to pay back the loan sure, but they care more about the money than running someone's career.

    tscottme and Sixela918 Thank this.

Depending on the company you go to, they might pick up the tab for your training. In my class, one girl moved on to Werner a few months after training and, according to her, Werner picked up her training bill from Swift. Another guy moved to Knight and they did the same thing. This is second hand information, it is what they told me. So, can't guarantee it is true. But, worth an ask.
Also, haven't heard of Swift getting malicious about their training bill. I stayed with them, so completed my training obligation and can't speak first hand about what happens if you leave Swift before that obligation is complete.

    From the website.
    TUITION REIMBURSEMENT
The cost of tuition for the program is $3,900.00

At Swift, there are no employment contracts! Best of all, if you choose to join Swifts Driving Force, we will reimburse you for the total cost of the Swift Academy. Call our recruiters for details.

No contract, no lawsuits. The main culprit for those actions would be CRST. Swift only requires you pay back the amount via payment plan.

They'll probably turn it over to a collection agency that will threaten you with all sorts of crap.

Must be the day they give that $5000 back that they talk them into signing a never-never plan. I still can’t believe people still fall for ANY of the Megas bs, starting with the government.

That never never plan starts when you hit 3 months . They start restricting your miles And the lease people start calling you promising you everything. If you are smart and do the math you will figure out its a scam . They were giving me a 2015 truck in 2018 for 80 k with baloon payment with 300k miles . And the pay was $1.12/ mile loaded and $1/mile empty +fsc .

I could never get past the I assume the debt to buy the truck, and I pay all the bills, and you put your name on it and tell me how much money I’m going to make with it. How much smoke and sunshine do they have blow up your ### to make a sane person miss that.

There is a Swift message board on this forum. There are numerous Swift drivers that routinely post/answer here.
